Re: Penalty turn required?

The reason I am sure it hit the boom, was you could actually hear the sound of it happening, as well as seeing that at that exact time it was gibing at the bouy.

Re: Penalty turn required?

Thanks for that Gordon, it happened to me and I took a penalty turn, however I was watching a You Tube video of IOM ranking event in 2011, and the boat directly behind Brad, did exactly that,( Hit bouy with main boom,) and did not take a penalty turn. It maybe that the rule has changed since then, b...

Adhesive sail number removal

Hi, I’ve recently got new sail numbers, and need to remove old numbers from my C rig. Does anyone have any experience in taking off adhesive sail numbers, and how best to do this. Any advice would be helpful, as I would prefer not to have to buy a new C rig.
Thanks

Newbies

Hi
Would it be an idea to have a section in the forum, where maybe newbies like myself could introduce themselves.?

Re: For sale section

Hi Garry, Regarding adverts still posted, but are presumably no longer for sale, would it be an idea for those who make an enquiry about a boat for sale, to be able to mark the advert in some way, if they don't receive a reply from the owner. This has happened to me on more than one advert, and thos...
